INTRODUCTION
#FlashFiction101 was the first competition we created and we were thrilled to receive stories from all over the globe. The concept is a simple one; tell a story in one hundred and one words exactly; no more, no less. Some months we provide a prompt or theme, and other months are an open competition. Entry is open to anyone over the age of sixteen and we will be publishing the top three stories each month on our online story repository.
We had hoped to keep the competition free to enter but hosting and administrative costs mean that we are now having to ask for a small contribution with your entry. We are however splitting the complete fund with the overall winner of the competition with 50% of the monthly fund going to the winner. So, if we have one hundred entrants, all paying £1.50 for their entry, then the prize fund will be £75. Half of the fund supports Tortive Lit and allows us to continue to keep the competition going and half of the fund supports a writer.
There will be one winner and two runners up each month. The winner will receive the prize fund money along with publication on our site and the stories from the runners up will be published on our website.
