DESCRIPTION

To hell with anger management! Malvolio from Twelfth Night was done wrong...notorious wrong; so-much-so that he swore to be revenged on the whole pack of those that carried out their campaign of cruel bullying and emotional torture. The Whirligig of Time sees us catch up with Malvolio as he relates, with a great deal of satisfaction, how skilfully he has kept his word.

The play masterfully explores the character of Malvolio as he processes the abuses and horrendous bullying he suffered at the hands of Olivia’s household. He finds himself in a unique position to right the notorious wrongs done to him and bring balance to his chaotic world, but is revenge truly a balm for the soul, or does it take away more than it provides?

This brilliant one-actor play from Richard Curnow received ★★★★★ for its Edinburgh Fringe run in 2021 and was then developed for a UK tour with a premiere at the 2024 International Shakespeare Festival in Romania.

THIS PLAY WILL BE PUBLISHED IN THE SUMMER OF 2024.
